\x0a A fellow aspiring photographer and friend Clark Griffiths has some great stuff from his Europe trip, most recently from Spain. We share similar taste in imagery and he’s from Kansas too. We obviously have way too much in common. Stop by and leave him a comment! http://www.clarkgriffithsphotography.com/\x0a

Beyond being a very nice guy, one of my favorite photographers and a guy I owe a lot to for inspiring me to pursue photography on a more serious level has started back up on Flickr again to share some of his adventures.

    Which Way Is Up?

    \x0a

There’s a harsh reality between making a good living in your community as a reputable photographer and those artists who push the envelope, creating ideas and imagery that go beyond the basic snapshot and nice use of the Rule of Thirds. I’m not attempting to stereotype any certain type of photographer here. But there does seem to be a clear fork in the road to where you go as a photographer or really can go depending on your talent, hard work and a little luck.

Which way is up? The way you see yourself and want the world to see you.

\x0a Perhaps a new model for photographer representation, collaboration and recognition. Tom Watson has not only created a gorgeous site, but a graceful way to bring photographers together. Check out Level & Tap.\x0a
